Queensland and Tasmania are the only states of Australia that has regulated maximum commission on residential properties.

Other states don't have any maximum to the amount they may charge as a commission.

While NSW and Victoria commision fees often start at 4% + GST.

Queensland is regulated to a maximum of 5% on the 1st 18,000 and 2.5% above that + GST on residential properties, there is no maximum commission on commercial properties.
